Travel always brings its fair share of twists and turns but after well over a year of planning we got thrown a curve ball thanks to Crowdstrike. Along with thousands of others we were caught up in the cascading delays and our Austin flight to Dulles got delayed so it was unlikely we would make the Paris connection. We decided to head to the airport anyway and see what we could find at the check-in desk. This turned out to be the right call despite a bit of a scramble repacking several things in case our checked bags were delayed. We got to the desk and the wonderful lady helped us get on the earlier and also delayed (to our benefit this time) flight to Dulles that will leave at 3:45pm. We are now waiting in Austin at the gate and have fingers crossed that we will keep moving towards Paris! We will update with more once we land on the other side!
