We finished up packing and straightening the apartment this morning and caught our cab for the airport. Both of us are worn out and Becky isn’t feeling too well. We are settled in at our gate and our heavy checked bags made it through the weight check (yay for wine!). We are currently sitting in the gate area waiting for boarding our flight to Munich. Interesting boarding process from here and Munich on the smaller flights you all board a bus and then drive to the airplane out on the tarmac and then drive to the terminal.

We have arrived in Munich and after about 7 security and passport checks we got to the gate and boarded and are now waiting to push back from the gate. If you are playing along we are on United flight 105 to IAH (Houston). We should arrive there a bit past 2pm so see you all then.

Well we are back in America after an amazing trip. The flight was as long as expected and as usual Becky and I got basically no sleep. I watched several movies with Nice of Côte du Azur ties and it was fun seeing some of the shots of areas we had been to this vacation. After arriving we gathered all our stuff and headed to customs. Wow I know customs and passport control can be long in almost any case but at Houston it is a tortuous 7 mile walk I think from the gate just to passport control. On top of that the space in Mc Knight on Becky’s passport put us in the extra check line and like each time we hit the line that apparently had people attempting to sneak in weapons or drugs with the chewing and issues they had getting through. Upon getting out bags to go through customs (another decent trek) we found when trying to recheck that my bags check tag had come off so I had to get that reprinted. After all of that you then have to go back through TSA again. Once through that gauntlet we needed refreshments and a rest. We got drinks then headed to our gate for the flight to XNA and grabbed s quick bite to eat. Now we are just waiting on our flight boarding announcement and trying not to fall asleep as it feels like almost 11pm to us after getting up at 3am.
